This is one of the greatest speakers I have ever heard! Recovery is a life or death proposition and it helps a lot to learn how to be uncomfortable and hear things that are hard. Just because I’m annoyed does not mean I’m right and my recovery moves at the speed of my pain. I will listen to this tape again and again and get out there and help those still suffering. Chris R has a powerful message and I thank him!!
Heartbreaking. I agree with a lot of what he says but find it sad that he is so angry.
This tape sounds like it is early in his speaking career. I saw him speak in January, 2018 and he has mellowed considerably.
this is very early YES he is gritty but compared To that ass beating that alcohol will administer….he’s a kitten

If you see as many people
Die as he has you might be passionate and sound angry like he does too
Absolutely fantastic! The message: cold, hard, and simple. no pulled punches, in language we understand
Chris R talking in Arizona. Self-confessed chronic relapser, in his own words because of “selfish self-centredness” finally “getting it” around 1987. This may be more of a CA/NA talk however sends the same “get a sponsor, work the steps” message, just a different style of delivery. A very buzzy, “up”, fast talking speaker, some delight in being controversial and extremely passionate. Doesn’t much like war stories, more into Hope and The Solution. Likes the fast and urgent approach rather than taking it slow with the Steps. Reinforces the ethic of getting out of self, working with others in order to find spirituality, focusing on the first 164 pages, and not being a victim.
I said this before and I’ll say it again that Chris Raymer has helped save my life by directing me right back to the roots that’s outlined in the big book I can’t thank him enough and I also hope that someday in my life I will actually be able to meet him and shake his hand and tell him thank you
