Better speaker than most. I agree fundamentally with her message that the steps are the program. But I do not care much for this style of scripted agenda that some AAs have when preaching heir ESH. AA is where I have found relief from a world of agenda driven rhetoric. I feel sad that it exists in AA today. I know the big book too, and it states that “we know only a little” – the 12 and 12 warns against “big-shot-ism” – God will constantly “reveal more” to you and to us. “Reveal More” than what? “Reveal More” than what we already know and what has already been stated, of course… That is great news since “we know only a little”! We all need to calm down. God is the Broad-Highway, big enough for all of us whether we do it your way or not (that’s on page 55 and 75 for those of us who are reading the whole book – not just the passages that drive the agenda…). When people, sober or not, need AA to look their way they have forgotten that “First of all, we had to quit playing God” (page 62).
God Bless.
