I agree completely with Danny. Sandy’s later talks were profound.
That’s *it*? A brief and rather pedestrian mention of the drop the rock metaphor at the end … and the place goes into hysterics? That’s famous?! Oh, well …
perhaps the greatest of all comments might be this
“I love you not for what you are but for what I am when
I am with you, !! “Sober”
Well worth the time to settle in and listen to the storytelling of Sandy’s!
Love this man so much.
This dude was so authentic and approachable. Met him at Saturday Mornings Live From NIH…oooh, cool scene. You had us referred in from Suburban and the guests of NIH and all meet in the grand auditorium. Magic. Met Mike B. there. Trembled my way to Sandy to say how cool he was and he was just kind and gracious and like meeting Tom Petty and him being as nice and gentle, yet as funny, sharp and witty as you’d hoped. RIP and fly high Mr. Beach.

Thank you Sandy Beach! I wish I could have met you in person before you passed in Dec. 2012. Your experience and understanding of God in sobriety has helped to keep me sober at nights. I’m a Coast Guard Vet that got sober in May 2012 in West Hollywood.
Sandy B giving his “Drop the Rock” talk at a gathering organized by Chuck C (glasses). This is the talk that propelled Sandy into circuit speaking. This is a great, funny, real AA “talk” but his later stuff, early 21st Century, is spirituality focused and miles ahead.
